My lil tips for a smoothie

If you have been following my instagram page for a while, you will know I LOVE a smoothie!


They are such a good way to get in that extra nutrients, whether it's to reach 5 a day, or to get that protein kick!


Here are my tips to making the perfect smoothie-


1- ENERGISING


Add a scoop of Scottish Oats to the mix! Super yummy ( especially if you like oat milk) makes its a lot thicker and gives you that long lasting energy to take you through the morning.


2- BITTER SWEET

For those dark green smoothies...ie Spinach or kale, add a tea spoon of cacao to take the bitterness away and add some sweetness! Cacao is the happy superfood remember, so help release those endorphins you chocolate lovers!


3- PICK AND MIX

Make sure you add an even mix of veg and fruit to the smoothie so you haven't over done in with the sugar!


4- POST WORKOUT

Add a scoop of protein to the mix to get that extra kick and help with muscles recovery.


5- SUPER FOOD SEEDS

Flax seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, head of them right? But not sure what to eat them with... whack them in a smoothie to soak up their benefits!!
